Had a old wooden door since we moved in years ago it's been absolutely freezing finally got a lovely composite door today , fitter was lovely and respectful and they fitted my cat flap too happy me happy cat ! Definitely recommend this company 👌
From start to fin8sh the process was Efficient and great service, clean and tidy fitting.
Had windows & doors fitted by this company in early 2020, initially everything seemed fine however over the past few years as soon as summer arrives, I have issues with both the front & back door in that they no longer seem aligned & we struggle to open/lock them, the front door also lets in a cold draft in the colder months, I have had engineers attend on more than 1 occasion and they have made tweaks to the doors but despite this the same issues still occur every summer/winter, on one occasion the key snapped inside the front door lock because it was that stiff to open & on occasions I cannot open the front door myself & have to wait for my partner to come & open it

Service was brilliant. I love my new front door and windows. The quality is also of high quality. Would definitely recommend them. The men that installed were also really nice blokes and cleaned up well after installation
Third time I’ve used LDG great help for choosing styles from Tony and fitters were great. Would highly recommend.
Do not use this company, absolutely shocking customer service. I had a front door fitted through them and had nothing but issues. The installation was delayed three times and on each occasion they waited until last minute to ring me, the day before the installation was due be completed. Citing that it was a manufacturing issue and that the door was dimensions were incorrect. When the door finally got fitted, the fitter knocked render off the walls and they sent a plaster to sort it. When he turned up, a nice enough chap, hadn’t been told that he was repairing it and only sorted out the gaps around the door. After asking to speak to a manager, I was told I would get a call. I never did. They then sent back the same plasterer to come back and sort it. He had his own little rant about the company which says it all! Now the company are refusing to compensate for the delays.
We upgraded from single glazed timber sash windows, to flush uPVC double glazed. The windows look brilliant, and the house is so much warmer, and quieter. LDG were even able to provide the arches in the flush system, to keep traditional look of the house.

I had a very poor experience with Lancashire Double Glazing. I was sold what I was told were 60-minute fire-rated windows and was charged accordingly. I later discovered the windows installed were actually only 30-minute rated, which is completely unacceptable given the safety risks and the price.
When I raised the issue, the company tried to avoid taking responsibility and attempted to get out of putting things right. For something as important as fire safety, this behaviour is shocking.
Based on my experience, I would avoid this company at all costs. If you’ve already had fire windows fitted by them, I strongly recommend double-checking the ratings, as they may not be what you were sold or paid for.

We had a composite front door installed, we absolutely love it, a mistake was made on the glass panels but this was rectified straight away with no cost to us. Thank you to everyone involved
Had front windows fitted one is small than the other, also had new roof fitted on conservatory but leaks one end but there not interested in repairing it as one of the workers said some one has put s screw though the seam ?? Excellent customer services, with all very nice friendly sales and reception staff and workmen. It was only a simple (i assume) window installation to make, but we did appreciate the quick work, with it being ordered, made and fitted in 4 weeks.
Also, As opposed to the many door/window sales that come knocking, it was very nice to walk round their showroom to see and feel the different window options (and ask lots of questions) rather than making a decision from a brochure.

We utilised LDG for the farmhouse we owned and needed a new door on the lean-to extension and window. They were quick to respond, and updated accordingly and very fairly priced. The lead times were very reasonable and finish looks great and in keeping with the existing windows and doors.
Had two lots of windows installed, after the second lot I received a guarantee pack and realised I hadnt for the first so had to chase to receive it.
Now im selling my house I realised I never received Fensa certificates, chased them. At first they said one lot hadnt been registered but it would be and I would receive the certificate shortly now they were registering it. When I said I didn't get a certificate for the other job they said I would have to buy one directly from Fensa, when I tried it turned out they hadn't registered that job either, why they claimed they had I dont know but it added a week on the hold up of getting a new EPC as I waited for them both.

Just had my windows fitted by John and Ethan fantastic workmen very polite and very clean and tidy unfortunately the supplier of the windows not so much (glass was wrong size for the main front window ) which was no fault of the fitters guess the guy with the measuring tape who made them was having a bad day anyway getting sorted very pleased with product
Having previously used LDG and being happy with the service provided I requested a home visit to speak about replacement windows and doors. So Owen Gilmartin arrived as arranged took some details and went into great detail about Lancashire Double Glazing's history and evidenced his explanation to us. We had many examples shown to us about the doors and windows. Owen allowed us to have a look through the catalogues and we chose our replacement doors and windows, the appointment ran on sometime but he did not rush us at all, he even found out who had been the fitter from our last job to take on our new installation. We are quite happy with both Owen and LDG.
Going with Lancashire Double Glazing Group for my extension was by far the best decision compared to trying to organise builders and contractors myself. The whole process was smooth from start to finish – everyone involved was efficient, turned up on time, and kept everything tidy throughout the work. As part of the project, we also had our living room wall knocked through and replaced with sliding doors, which has completely transformed the space and looks fantastic. We opted for the HUP! system for our extension which has been finished to a very high standard. I couldn’t be happier with the result and would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a reliable and professional service.

Do not buy these windows as terrible quality. They all steam up as soon as it’s below 10 degrees(photo for reference) and when I asked to have a seal replaced as so thin it had caught where you open it, they wanted to charge me, so your guarantee has no value.

Our single storey extension was completed by LDG and has been a first class experience from start to finish. Extremely pleased with all work carried out by LDG - from Owen Gilmartin the sales rep who was friendly, helpful and knowledgeable to the efficient builders, fitters, electricians, plumber and Heather the works co-ordinator who kept us informed of timescales. Cannot fault the workmanship and professionalism of all their contractors. LDG project managed all the works and their communication was faultless.
We recently had new windows fitted in 9th floor apartment in Southport. It was a feat of engineering and Health & Safety requirements that proved to be quite a challenge. Not for Lancashire DG who met the challenge with spectacular results and quality. The whole process right up to the supermen of the fitting team was of the utmost professionalism. I have just had some windows, door and French door from this company. The fitter Harry was amazing. So tidy and put blinds etc back for me as I would struggle. Nothing was too much trouble. Start to finish; from estimate and surveyor, it was so easy. That good I have booked to have another 2 windows looked at. Highly recommend this company. Absolutely fantastic to deal with! I had a unique use case for some windows and doors, and arranged a meeting with Muhammad Patel, who couldn't have been more helpful! We went through many different options that they offer until we found one that was right for me.
Each window and door I needed was a different and bespoke size, and every one arrived on site and fitted perfectly, so much so that I am currently in the process of placing new orders with LDG for phase 2 of my build. Very competitively priced and also with a quick turnaround, they were delivered on time.

We initially contacted Lancashire Double Glazing back in February 2025 about a small extension using their HUP system — something they promote as a fast, efficient build method. We signed a contract in March, with a promised start date of 5th May. It’s now nearly August, and we are still not finished.
This is a simple 3m by 3.5m extension — two windows, a lantern skylight, and a set of double doors. We were told it would take a matter of weeks. Instead, we've had long periods with no one on site, poor communication throughout, and 3 months on there are still key elements left incomplete.
We're still waiting on:
Tiling to the exterior shell and steps.
Electrical issues (switches not working, spotlights incorrectly positioned).
Damage to the paintwork on the newly installed door and the door not shutting correctly.
Window and door frame finishing.
It has been up to us to chase subcontractors, manage timelines, and clean up after people — none of which we expected when paying a professional company to do a turnkey job.
I’m posting this review in the hope it spurs LDG into finally delivering on the project. We were promised a stress-free, quick build. It has been anything but.

I've recently had my house fitted with windows and doors. This is my second time using Lancashire double glazing and like my last house I am so happy with the whole experience. It was refreshing to see the salesman Chris Gabbott who I previously dealt with 15 years ago. It was an enjoyable experience with him as there was no pushy sales tactics, he listened to my requests and gave good advice. From sales to completion it couldn't have gone any better.

Absolutely brilliant from beginning to end. We had 10 windows, French doors and a new front door installed. The work took a day and a half and did a fantastic job, very pleased, thanks to everyone involved x
Just had windows and a sliding door fitted by Harry. What a fantastic job! From the surveyor coming to measuring up, customer service and the fitting- everything has been perfect and the quality of the finished job can't be faulted. Definitely recommend. I'll be using this company again.
i wrote to you in jan-feb 25 on another site where you were advertsing.. you then hood winked me .after mentioning the quick service turn round. . you then took 2 deposit payments .(You fitted our large bedroom windows 5 units.The large breakfast room window. The boiler room & lavatory a few yeras ago.) when i;m very very ill. you then after deposit paid. place me on back burner for April 11. conned me by heather phone call.13.march25 out of blue. not in writing so no audit " best way to con a pensioner . is by then heather by a generic no reply no redress text. no reply. service no recall. another con no redress . then after closing of business on 11.04.25. a month later heard nothing. or to mention to me by cordial e-mail 'we are still coming to fit your badly needed rear door for access mobility reasons.' but hey the sales man got your money the fact your very ill and need the new door accessibility / mobility.. we couldn't give a thump ! the back door and 2 pains of glass. Nothing! no 'how are you this is our great LDG interim service.' WE HAVE YOUR DEPOSIT' . so tough . You now wait. Nothing like you still had not confirmed my installation date. . No ! we are a caring company.. it's 12.04.25 no installment no reply from heather or sales interim before during or after service team. I'm a very ill pensioner . which you have known all long. A Complete CON by heather plus whoever. You never wrote by e-mail, not even to mention- inform update or turn up. when a pensioner is very ill every aspect of life is amplified . like your woeful service. ..quote 'We specialise in making homes like yours more secure and more beautiful. We achieve this by using expert installers to fit British-made PVC-U windows and doors of an exceptional standard'...your standards are so good from the 13th march 25 you leave me in complete oblivion no contacts by heather sales production instalment at all. i wrote an email before i went for my after noon sleep.10.04.25 in between treatments. my reply came from a very nice man in Nepal he was on his holiday. i said i fuming . I've been conned. he was in NEPAL and wrote back, no one from LDG in uk did at all. show how nice tom is.when your very ill every aspect of liaison (i keep asking emails only as it's an audit. but hey anyway to not use an email by LDg is better as phone calls are audio, ) is welcomed . no liaison from either of the 4 office address on Thursday from Preston. they have pc. they have graphs production sales data. red flags accounts audit all on pc.wall charts. yet they can't write to a ill pensioner, to mention be honest that we are or we are not coming on the 11.04.25. we.ll just con you and run you ragged. what a load of hog wash. LDG did a fantastic job on my windows and front door. Mark the fitter was very professional, all the finish and trim was left perfect and cleaned up afterwards.

Had 2 upvc doors fitted a couple of years ago which we where delighted in, just had a quote for a new conservatory roof, Owen was very pleasant and professional, came round a talked through all the options and what we wanted from the conservatory going forward. Would highly recommend this company and Owen.

I cannot recommend highly enough LDG I required 10 windows and a back door ,John the fitters workmanship and attention to detail in every aspect of the job was second to none ,he was the complete professional and thoroughly nice guy.
Superb service salesman Simon was really friendly helpful and polite. Arrived on time was professional and gave a good quote.
The installer Harry was just as professional. Arrived on time, got the job done in a timely manner and left the place clean after. All round great service and would recommend them to anyone asking about doors or windows.

From start to finish LDG deserve 10/10. Tony who came to give me an estimate was so customer focused and pleasant. That’s the first reason I decided that I was going to have them. I did have other quotes but Tony’s customer service blew them out it the park.
The window fitters Paul and Lauren were excellent. Professional, friendly constantly keeping me in the loop of what they were doing on the day and making sure I agreed. They are an asset to the company. If you want windows/doors just go to the best and that really is LDG. Outstanding!!!

Simon our salesman was very friendly, not pushy and understood our budget. 4 windows replaced and the survey also revealed we needed some extra work we weren’t aware of to keep our house safe. Owen was a great salesman. Very polite and very friendly without being pushy or over bearing he secured the deal. Was advised of a 2-3 day install on the entire house. Obviously things run over and in the end it eventually went to about 2 weeks due to only working 4 days per week.
We asked for 30 min notification prior to turning up on three separate occasions and not once did that happen. One day they didn't turn up at all. Once installed they looked great from a distance but when you got closer it was a mess. I'd probably be hopeless at using silicone - but so was whoever did this one. I think 3 out of 6 windows needed silicone taking off and redoing. After the panelling was added and re silicone it did look so much better and they wasted no time in getting things sorted out once notified.
The welds on the frames are somewhat visible where the white has bled on the top of the grey. Most frames covered in transfer . Which all eventually can be filled in with a paint pen and the transfer can be rubbed off with a bit of elbow grease. They shouldn't really leave manufacturers before this is done but that's just my opinion. Some frames were scraped and scratched and handles scratched . These were flagged and these was rectified.
Workmen we're polite and friendly and very easy to get on with. They cleaned up after themselves every shift and worked hard to get things done.
The back door wouldn't lock at all. Had to leave completely unlocked overnight until someone could come and check it. Had to be readjusted and is now fine.
One of the panes of glass on the patio door 'shattered' during installation so we waited around 4 days after the installation was complete for a replacement. Once again no 30 min warning just turned up at the door. As soon as this piece of glass was fitted - like literally 2 whole minutes of leaving the house - the phone then rang from the office asking to settle the invoice . Which is completely and utterly rude to be asking for money after all the crap that went wrong without checking the pane.
Good job we didn't pay as the replacement glass we got had a massive scratch on the inside of the double glazing to which we waited another 2 to 3 days for that replacement.
Finally almost 3 weeks from start date we was at 100% , the windows and doors look brilliant now and it was a definite improvement over how it was before we started. Ultimately when you spend this much money you just expect things to be perfect and right the first time. I can't help but think we could have saved a couple thousand pounds and got the same result if not better somewhere else. It's unfair to give any lower than a 3 and I can't find reason to give any more also.
So I would say use at your own peril but please please check the work over and over again. In 20 years time - if they last that long - I probably wouldn't use this company again unfortunately and I wouldn't recommend to a friend or family . Maybe we just got a bad wave of hiccups based on the other reviews but that's my personal opinion.
