New Windows

WINDOWS DESIGNED TO WITHSTAND THE TEST OF TIME

Are you looking to give your house a fresh and stylish makeover? Upgrading your windows is a perfect place to start. Not only do new windows enhance the kerb appeal of your home, but they also provide improved energy efficiency, security, and noise reduction. With a wide range of options available, you can choose from various styles, materials, and designs that align with your aesthetic preferences. Investing in new windows can bring a host of benefits. Energy-efficient windows can help save on utility bills by retaining the desired temperature inside your house. Additionally, modern security features can provide you with peace of mind, knowing that your loved ones and valuable possessions are protected.

Whether you’re seeking to enhance the value of your property or create a more inviting living space, new windows can be the perfect solution. Over time, windows start showing signs of wear and tear. Recognising these signs is crucial because replacing them in a timely manner can help avoid further damage and improve the overall functionality of your home. One common sign that it’s time to replace your windows is when you notice draughts around the frames. This indicates that the windows are no longer properly sealed, leading to energy inefficiency and higher utility bills. Another sign is condensation between the glass panes or fogging, which indicates a broken seal and reduced insulation.

Energy efficiency is a vital consideration when choosing new windows. All of our windows are A+ as standard. By opting for energy-efficient options, you can reduce your carbon footprint, lower your utility bills, and create a more comfortable living environment. There are various materials available for new windows, including wood, vinyl, aluminium, and fiberglass. Each material has its own advantages and considerations, such as durability, maintenance requirements, and aesthetic appeal. Consider the architectural style of your house in Barrow-in-Furness, and choose windows and doors that complement it. Whether you prefer a traditional, contemporary, or rustic look, there are options available to suit your style. Look for windows and doors with robust security features, such as multi-point locking systems and impact-resistant glass. These features provide an added layer of protection for your home.

WARM ROOF

WARM ROOF SYSTEMS

Are you currently in the process of choosing a conservatory roof but feeling unsure about which option to choose? If you’re tired of enduring extreme heat in the summer and freezing temperatures in the winter, consider a warm roof. A warm roof is an innovative solution that can transform your conservatory into a cosy and enjoyable living space all year round. By investing in a warm roof, you can say goodbye to uncomfortable temperature extremes and welcome a comfortable and inviting atmosphere.

A warm roof is a highly effective solution to combat the common issues faced by conservatory owners. Unlike traditional conservatory roofs, which are usually made of glass or polycarbonate, a warm roof is built with solid, highly insulated materials. The importance of a warm roof for conservatories cannot be overstated. With its superior insulation properties, a warm roof ensures that your conservatory maintains a comfortable temperature throughout the year. This means you can enjoy your conservatory even during the coldest winter months or the hottest summer days. Additionally, a warm roof prevents condensation from forming, which reduces the risk of damp and mould growth.

Conventional conservatory roofs often struggle to endure extreme weather conditions. Whether it’s heavy rainfall and hail, strong winds, or snowstorms, these roofs are susceptible to leaks, damage, and even collapse. In contrast, a warm roof is specifically designed to withstand the most severe weather, providing assurance and safeguarding for your conservatory. Its sturdy construction and use of high-quality materials make it highly durable and resistant to the elements. Say goodbye to concerns about leaks, water damage, or structural problems caused by harsh weather. With a warm roof, your conservatory will remain secure and protected, no matter the challenges posed by Mother Nature! Contact us today for further details.

I've recently had my house fitted with windows and doors. This is my second time using Lancashire double glazing and like my last house I am so happy with the whole experience. It was refreshing to see the salesman Chris Gabbott who I previously dealt with 15 years ago. It was an enjoyable experience with him as there was no pushy sales tactics, he listened to my requests and gave good advice. From sales to completion it couldn't have gone any better.

Owen was a great salesman. Very polite and very friendly without being pushy or over bearing he secured the deal. Was advised of a 2-3 day install on the entire house. Obviously things run over and in the end it eventually went to about 2 weeks due to only working 4 days per week.We asked for 30 min notification prior to turning up on three separate occasions and not once did that happen. One day they didn't turn up at all. Once installed they looked great from a distance but when you got closer it was a mess. I'd probably be hopeless at using silicone - but so was whoever did this one. I think 3 out of 6 windows needed silicone taking off and redoing. After the panelling was added and re silicone it did look so much better and they wasted no time in getting things sorted out once notified. The welds on the frames are somewhat visible where the white has bled on the top of the grey. Most frames covered in transfer . Which all eventually can be filled in with a paint pen and the transfer can be rubbed off with a bit of elbow grease. They shouldn't really leave manufacturers before this is done but that's just my opinion. Some frames were scraped and scratched and handles scratched . These were flagged and these was rectified.Workmen we're polite and friendly and very easy to get on with. They cleaned up after themselves every shift and worked hard to get things done. The back door wouldn't lock at all. Had to leave completely unlocked overnight until someone could come and check it. Had to be readjusted and is now fine. One of the panes of glass on the patio door 'shattered' during installation so we waited around 4 days after the installation was complete for a replacement. Once again no 30 min warning just turned up at the door. As soon as this piece of glass was fitted - like literally 2 whole minutes of leaving the house - the phone then rang from the office asking to settle the invoice . Which is completely and utterly rude to be asking for money after all the crap that went wrong without checking the pane.Good job we didn't pay as the replacement glass we got had a massive scratch on the inside of the double glazing to which we waited another 2 to 3 days for that replacement. Finally almost 3 weeks from start date we was at 100% , the windows and doors look brilliant now and it was a definite improvement over how it was before we started. Ultimately when you spend this much money you just expect things to be perfect and right the first time. I can't help but think we could have saved a couple thousand pounds and got the same result if not better somewhere else. It's unfair to give any lower than a 3 and I can't find reason to give any more also.So I would say use at your own peril but please please check the work over and over again. In 20 years time - if they last that long - I probably wouldn't use this company again unfortunately and I wouldn't recommend to a friend or family . Maybe we just got a bad wave of hiccups based on the other reviews but that's my personal opinion.
