Solar Project/General Manager

We are currently seeking an experienced candidate from the Solar PV industry who can take over charge off our whole division, The role will entail surveying and overseeing all the installations of PV panels mostly on domestic property's. The ideal applicant will preferably have an electrical back ground and must be 17th edition qualified, or city and guilds (2399 OR 2372) and be familiar with current health and safety legislations. Part of the job will entail advising sales staff on technical issues, recommending the ideal products and designing the perfect system should we encounter a difficult property. Commercial Manager

We are one of the largest home improvement and commercial companies in the north west of England and have been in business nearly 20 years. We are currently investing over 1 million pounds in new equipment and a purpose built factory, solely for our commercial and aluminium departments. To date, our company has done major work in over 300 schools, 3 football clubs, including the award winning Solaris building in Blackpool, fitted with over 732 square metres of Photovoltaic roof units.

The role

The successful candidate will develop and manage the commercial department, including existing client base and expansion, set up budgets, implement weekly cost to date reports throughout each stage of every contract. Ideally you will be a team player and actively participate in the management, setting targets and continually improving the procedures and our working practices.

Candidate

• Live locally within a suitable commuting distance of Preston Lancashire.
• You will have Upvc or Alluminium sales or management experience, senior management role within the construction industry would ideal for this position, be fully conversant with quantity surveying, (does not need to be a qualified), however knowledge and understanding is a requirement.
• Self Motivated person with a firm but fair Man-management style.
• Computer literate and conscious of what is right and what is wrong, promote best working practices at all times with the primary objective is to strive for continuous improvement in all areas.
