New Doors in Keswick
UPVC, COMPOSITE, FRONT, REAR, PATIO, AND FRENCH DOORS
Security is a top priority for homeowners, and a new front and back door can provide peace of mind. With advancements in technology, modern front doors come equipped with robust locking systems and additional security features, such as multipoint locking mechanisms and reinforced frames. These security enhancements make it significantly more challenging for potential intruders to break into your home. Investing in a high-quality front or back door can act as a deterrent and provide an extra layer of protection for your family and belongings.
Moreover, a new front door can also include features like peepholes, security cameras, and smart locks, allowing you to monitor and control access to your home remotely. These smart security features offer convenience and added security, giving you complete control over who enters your property.
One of the key advantages of investing in a new door is the potential for increased energy efficiency. Older doors often lack proper insulation, which can result in heat loss during the winter and heat gain during the summer. This not only leads to discomfort but also higher energy bills. Modern external doors are specifically designed to provide optimal thermal insulation. They are constructed with advanced materials and insulation technology to prevent heat transfer, keeping your home at a comfortable temperature year-round. By reducing heat loss, a new front door can help lower your energy consumption and save you money on heating and cooling costs.
Additionally, energy-efficient front doors can contribute to your home’s environmental sustainability. By reducing your energy consumption, you’ll be reducing your carbon footprint, making a positive impact on the environment. When choosing the right door material, consider factors such as durability, maintenance requirements, energy efficiency, security, and aesthetic appeal. Whether you have your eye on a composite door for the front, or a bi-fold door for the rear of the property, contact Lancashire Double Glazing today.

A conservatory offers you extra living space, allowing you to design a room that fits your lifestyle. Whether you require a home office, a larger dining room, or just a cosy spot to unwind and bask in the sunlight, a conservatory can meet all your needs. It enables you to merge the indoors with the outdoors, establishing a harmonious link between your house and garden.
A conservatory not only provides functionality, but it also elevates the visual charm of your home. The extra space can serve multiple functions, adding significant value for families of any size. Whether you’re expanding your family or just looking for extra space, a conservatory is a fantastic option. A conservatory offers numerous benefits, and one of the most notable is the ample natural light it brings into your home. With its spacious windows and sun-filled interior, a conservatory creates a vibrant and open area that is ideal for unwinding and recharging. Even when the sky is overcast, the natural light that filters through the glass panels can greatly illuminate your living space.
Besides the many lifestyle advantages, a carefully planned conservatory can greatly boost the value of your home. It not only provides extra space, but also improves the overall visual appeal of your property, making it more appealing to potential buyers. Many homebuyers view a conservatory as a sought-after feature, as it provides more living space and brings in natural light. Having a conservatory can make your home stand out from others for sale, possibly resulting in a faster sale and a higher selling price.

Warm Roof
WARM ROOF SYSTEMS
Transforming your conservatory into a usable space throughout the year is now a possibility with the installation of a warm roof. Bid farewell to the extreme temperatures that render your conservatory unusable during summer and winter seasons. By fitting a warm roof on your conservatory, you can enjoy a plethora of benefits that improve both comfort and energy efficiency. A warm roof serves as a highly efficient solution to tackle the common issues faced by conservatory owners. Unlike traditional conservatory roofs, typically constructed with glass or polycarbonate, a warm roof is built using solid and well-insulated materials. This ingenious design eliminates the problems associated with traditional roofs, such as excessive heat during summer months and cold draughts in the winter.
A warm roof is designed to provide excellent insulation, keeping your conservatory at a pleasant temperature all year round. This allows you to fully enjoy your conservatory, whether it’s freezing cold outside or scorching hot. Moreover, a warm roof effectively prevents condensation, minimising the chances of damp and mould formation.
A warm roof offers a great advantage by enhancing the energy efficiency of your conservatory. With its excellent insulation, a warm roof can help trap heat in the winter and keep the area cool in the summer. This results in lower energy costs and decreased carbon footprint. You can relish in a cosy conservatory without any concerns about the environment or your expenses.
Say goodbye to dealing with the unpleasantness of extreme temperatures in your conservatory. A warm roof will provide you with a steady and pleasant temperature throughout the year. No matter the weather outside, your conservatory will become a cosy sanctuary perfect for unwinding, hosting guests, or indulging in your favourite hobbies.
Besides regulating temperature, a warm roof also offers great soundproofing. This allows you to establish a calm and quiet atmosphere in your conservatory, away from the sounds of traffic or other outside disruptions. Whether you’re relaxing with a book, working from home, or just relaxing, a warm roof guarantees a peaceful area all year round.
Extensions
CREATE THAT DREAM LIVING SPACE IN YOUR HOME
Home extensions are often considered attractive investments because they provide the opportunity for buyers to avoid the inconvenience and expenses associated with purchasing a larger property. By expanding your current home, you can enjoy the advantages of having a bigger space without the need to uproot your life and relocate to a new area. Whether you envision a spacious kitchen, a comfortable home office, or an extra living area, a home extension allows you to create the perfect room layout. You have the freedom to incorporate the latest trends, select the finishes and materials that align with your personal style, and establish a space that truly embodies your individuality.
Opting for a home extension can be a more budget-friendly choice than buying a new house. Moving to a bigger home usually comes with hefty costs like agent fees, stamp duty, and other expenses. With an extension, you can remain in your beloved neighbourhood and skip the inconvenience and anxiety of relocating. Moreover, extending your home can cut down on expenses in the future by removing the necessity for continuous storage fees or renting extra spaces for your possessions.
It is crucial to carefully plan and consider the design and functionality of your home extension in order to meet your needs and improve your lifestyle. Take into account how the extension will blend with the existing structure, impact natural light, and harmonise with the rest of your home. Moreover, think about any specific requirements like accessibility features or energy efficiency considerations.
Why continue to tolerate a cramped living space? It’s time to make a change. By investing in a home extension, you can gain the additional space, functionality, and value that your home truly deserves. Whether you require an extra bedroom, an extended lounge area, or a dedicated workspace, a thoughtfully designed extension can open up a world of opportunities. By carefully considering the advantages, planning diligently, and effectively overseeing the process, you have the power to transform your home into a sanctuary that caters specifically to your unique needs and lifestyle. Take the first step towards a more spacious and gratifying living environment by exploring the potential of a home extension today.

Orangeries uplift mood, increase productivity, and promote healthy sleep cycles by allowing plentiful natural light to fill the room. CUSTOMER REVIEWS
Very pleased with the end product.
Carly and her team were first class from start to finish and I would highly recommend anyone to use this company for all there building and glazing needs. Top class service, thanks again Carly!
We would definitely recommend them to other people.
For reference I have built and converted homes for over 30 years now and never had these issues before.
I would fully recommend LDG to anyone.
Each window and door I needed was a different and bespoke size, and every one arrived on site and fitted perfectly, so much so that I am currently in the process of placing new orders with LDG for phase 2 of my build. Very competitively priced and also with a quick turnaround, they were delivered on time.
Highly recommended!
This is a simple 3m by 3.5m extension — two windows, a lantern skylight, and a set of double doors. We were told it would take a matter of weeks. Instead, we've had long periods with no one on site, poor communication throughout, and 3 months on there are still key elements left incomplete.
We're still waiting on:
Tiling to the exterior shell and steps.
Electrical issues (switches not working, spotlights incorrectly positioned).
Damage to the paintwork on the newly installed door and the door not shutting correctly.
Window and door frame finishing.
It has been up to us to chase subcontractors, manage timelines, and clean up after people — none of which we expected when paying a professional company to do a turnkey job.
I’m posting this review in the hope it spurs LDG into finally delivering on the project. We were promised a stress-free, quick build. It has been anything but.
Have used LDG for years, but their after sales service seems to be sadly lacking.
Had windows fitted no problems, but in less than a year one pane had failed, now here comes the comedy show of errors/not being bothered.
First engineer visit to assess fault- no show.
Second visit, faulty window measured and replacement confirmed.
Third visit, cancelled on day of appointment due to faulty replacement (days holiday taken)
Fourth visit, wrong sized window pane brought by fitter.( another days holiday taken)
Please reach out for a solution, starting to think that LDG couldn’t find organise a drinking session in a brewery.
Highly recommended
No high pressure sales technique just good advice and a good price,
Surveying done professionally, both John and Calum fitted the windows to a very good standard, turned up when they said they would and tidied up afterwards.
The plasterer and the sealer were pretty good also.
Would highly recommend LDG.
Signed up and paid deposit, salesman said doubted planning permission needed.
Then huge delay till go ahead.
Builders and fitters great.
Then all went wrong with plasterer that could not plaster!!
Totally ruined.
Then 2 guys came on separate occasions to rectify mistakes.
Still not great.
Cost us alot of money. For a botch job.
Then chased by manager ti pay final amount, No discount and slapped with extra £600,survey fee.
Our conservatory still not right.
Very sad, to put this review together.
THINK BEFORE YOU ORDER FROM
LANCASHIRE DOUBLE GLAZING.
SIMPLE CORDIAL BUSINESS TASK OF INFORMING -UPDATING A SICK PENSIONOR. THAT HE WILL BE HONOURED AND HAVE HIS INSTALLMENTS ON SCHEDULE . ABSOLUTE DISGUSTING ATTITUDE BY LDG.
Highly recommend
The installer Harry was just as professional. Arrived on time, got the job done in a timely manner and left the place clean after. All round great service and would recommend them to anyone asking about doors or windows.
The window fitters Paul and Lauren were excellent. Professional, friendly constantly keeping me in the loop of what they were doing on the day and making sure I agreed. They are an asset to the company. If you want windows/doors just go to the best and that really is LDG. Outstanding!!!
We asked for 30 min notification prior to turning up on three separate occasions and not once did that happen. One day they didn't turn up at all. Once installed they looked great from a distance but when you got closer it was a mess. I'd probably be hopeless at using silicone - but so was whoever did this one. I think 3 out of 6 windows needed silicone taking off and redoing. After the panelling was added and re silicone it did look so much better and they wasted no time in getting things sorted out once notified.
The welds on the frames are somewhat visible where the white has bled on the top of the grey. Most frames covered in transfer . Which all eventually can be filled in with a paint pen and the transfer can be rubbed off with a bit of elbow grease. They shouldn't really leave manufacturers before this is done but that's just my opinion. Some frames were scraped and scratched and handles scratched . These were flagged and these was rectified.
Workmen we're polite and friendly and very easy to get on with. They cleaned up after themselves every shift and worked hard to get things done.
The back door wouldn't lock at all. Had to leave completely unlocked overnight until someone could come and check it. Had to be readjusted and is now fine.
One of the panes of glass on the patio door 'shattered' during installation so we waited around 4 days after the installation was complete for a replacement. Once again no 30 min warning just turned up at the door. As soon as this piece of glass was fitted - like literally 2 whole minutes of leaving the house - the phone then rang from the office asking to settle the invoice . Which is completely and utterly rude to be asking for money after all the crap that went wrong without checking the pane.
Good job we didn't pay as the replacement glass we got had a massive scratch on the inside of the double glazing to which we waited another 2 to 3 days for that replacement.
Finally almost 3 weeks from start date we was at 100% , the windows and doors look brilliant now and it was a definite improvement over how it was before we started. Ultimately when you spend this much money you just expect things to be perfect and right the first time. I can't help but think we could have saved a couple thousand pounds and got the same result if not better somewhere else. It's unfair to give any lower than a 3 and I can't find reason to give any more also.
So I would say use at your own peril but please please check the work over and over again. In 20 years time - if they last that long - I probably wouldn't use this company again unfortunately and I wouldn't recommend to a friend or family . Maybe we just got a bad wave of hiccups based on the other reviews but that's my personal opinion.
